Men with this problem have to realise they are not alone and there is a cure if they feel they need to straighten their penis.
There are two
main causes of a bent penis, they are known as development curvature and peyronie's disease.
Development curvature is the most common and the easiest
to treat. Development curvature starts during puberty when the penis is in its growing and developing stage. It usually occurs when the penis is restricted by tight
underwear. A teenage boy that usually develops penis curvature has a position that he places his penis for most comfort in tight underwear, this is usually to the left
or right side.
Most teenage boys experience 10 - 25 erections a day during puberty. This large number of erections induces the cells in the sponge like tissue
(corpus cavernosum) in each side of the penis to enlarge.
If a boy's penis is restricted in either direction by tight underwear, this causes restricted and poor
blood flow in the corpus cavernosum that is positioned closest to the body, either left or right side. This poor blood flow results in under development in one side of
the penis and full development in the other side. The end result is a bent penis.
Most of the time their underwear is to tight because they have outgrown them
due to their growth spurts or they may choose to wear tight underwear to avoid people noticing their constant erections. If you have any boy children, I would
suggest you make them wear lose fitting underwear during their growing years to avoid the same problem you may have.
